Rushcutter Entertainment designs and delivers a range of Drama Workshops
for primary and secondary age children. They are delivered by our pool of
talented and passionate performers, who have years of experience
working with children and young people.
We have designed one off workshops with take home exercises or,
as with the musical theatre modules, they can be delivered over a number of weeks, for more comprehensive learning; we customise according to your
needs and budget. As with all Rushcutter Workshops, they are conducted in a fun and inspiring environment that delivers maximum learning, creativity and confidence.

Rushcutter Entertainment shares its unique insite into the entertainment industry by offering a variety of holiday, in school and after school workshops that allows you to experience everything the industry has to offer from stage performances to filming your own Green Screen Hollywood Blockbuster.
WYOMING ACTING FOR STAGE AND SCREEN - TERM 1
Junior - Ages 7-9yrs
Tuesdays 3.30pm - 4.15pm
Intermediate - Ages 9-11yrs
Tuesdays 4.15pm - 6.00pm
Focuses on stage performance, presenting, story telling, and character analysis and culminates in filmed scenes and mock casting audition.
Each element of this course gives younger students experience talking in front of a crowd on stage and on screen performance.
Older students this course explores the expansive possibilities to creating and discovering your characters.
Students have the option and are encouraged to audition for local performance opportunities such as Youth In Performing Arts at Laycock Street Theatre.
Introduction to acting –
• Improvisation – Using real life scenarios, students act out simple scenes and openly discuss their observations.
• The Story Arch – Students are taught how to structure a simple story and are instructed to expand on that.
• Strasberg & Meissner Technique – Students are taught how to apply improvisation to scripted text.
• Character Analysis – Students are taught how to breakdown characters through scripts and shown how to indicate emotional beat changes and dramaturge.
• Scene Work – Scenes are taken from film and television scripts, worked on and filmed in class then recorded to DVD.

Students learn improvisation, Character creation, Play building, Voice training, Scene work, Physical awareness, pantomime, confidence and teamwork as they study, rehearse and perform short theatrical scenes as well as Acting for the Camera, Meisner Technique, Labanotation, Practical Aesthetics, Film Making and Script Writing.

This is a casual conditioning class for actors, singers, dancers and entertainers from all aspects of the performing arts. Impromedy has run improvised comedy events at Sydney's Luna Park and Kings's Cross Empire Hotel and now wishes to spark the central coast community into gear by creating a venue for everyone to share skills, build connections and collaborate on other central coast based performance opportunities.
