Managing Director

Richard trained at Sydney’s leading drama institutions - NIDA and Screenwise and has since gathered a wealth of experience working nationally and internationally in the film and television industry as an actor, writer, director, producer, editor, and cameraman; in the circus field as silt-walker and fire artist and as compere among others including the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Town Hall and for National Dance organisations.

 

The stage2screen curriculum has evolved from a culmination of Richard’s vast experience through teaching at prestigious institutions in Sydney - Screenwise, the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), The Australian Institute of Performing Arts (AIPA), The Australian Stage Combat Association (ASCA) and the Sydney Stage Combat School. Teaching Acting for Stage and Camera, Green Screen Acting for Camera, Improvisation, Movement and Stage Combat.

 

Richard welcomes all new students, beginners to advanced level. He is genuinely excited about sharing his knowledge of the craft and his experience within the industry with the next generation of actors and performers.

Inga Romantsova

Tutor

Inga has been teaching drama at the University of Newcastle, Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) and Australian Institute of Music (AIM). She has taught drama students at Scots College, Masada College, Brent Street Studious, Conservatorium High School,  Mad Cow Theatre Co., as well as at her own acting studio at Brisbane Waters Performing Art Centre. Inga loves sharing her experience with students and her teaching style has been highly praised; she received an Honour’s teaching certificate.

Mikaeli Benton

Tutor

Mikaeli’s great love of drama began as an amateur actor at the age of 8. Her passion didn’t abate in high school and she went on to win awards for Outstanding Achievement's in drama and performance. Throughout this period Mikaeli attended Mad Cow drama classes where she was a standout performer in Much Ado About Nothing. Her passion made it easy for her to pursue drama at university where she completed a BA in Performing Arts. Her attention to detail and depth of honesty was honed as a film critic.
